Tom Heffernan
Tom Heffernan works in Client Services and Operations. He is responsible for overseeing project and vendor management. Prior to joining Signet he was the Director of Sales and Marketing for Nu Graphics. The firm was one of the early adapters of variable data digital printing with Indigo Technology. Tom and the Nu Graphics Team presented the technology and were instrumental in developing business with Microsoft, CVS, Ernst & Young, Boston Beer, Harvard Medical School, Dana Farber Cancer Institute. He also worked in the consumer package goods business as a manufactures representative for Hynes Sales Company. Hynes was one of the largest firms in the US representing general merchandise, beauty and cosmetics and food beverage manufacturers. Hynes was the sales agent responsible for launching new products and managing all sales functions within a specific region managing sales and relationships with retailers The firm maintained offices in the Mid-Atlantic, Southeastern, and Southwestern US. Tom was one of two individuals chosen by the firm to open Hynes New England and establish the Boston Office. He was responsible for the sales team and developing business with retailers and manufacturers in the region.
During his college years he worked full time while pursuing a degree in business. The company manufactured aluminum window curtain and window wall. Tom started in the drafting room as a draftsman and moved into estimating and eventually sales. He called on many architects and contractors in the South Florida market.
In his spare time, Tom enjoys playing tennis and guitar, sailing, and reading.
